This does exactly what I wanted... replaces the one with the ring light fixture. This allows mounting the phone or camera without having the light attached. Oddly, many ring lights do not allow you to do this with the standard product. With this you can unscrew the entire ring light, phone mount and all, and simply replace the phone mount portion. Just remove the (hotshoe adapter). Now you can stand your phone beside your chair and watch movies on it, or do exterior video, without that obnoxious light attached.

I love that this has the adjustable neck. My original phone holder from my (ring light) broke when I tried adjusting it (my fault). I was wary and not sure if it would fit or not. It is a ‘hot foot’ adapter that slides in to a base. I love that I could angle it downward to video record with my phone when I am recording my sewing projects. It seems very durable and sturdy.
