Description

The Godox AD300 Pro a 300Ws Portable Pocket Flash is the newest edition to the Pro range. With strong power, all-in-one large capacity battery and round flash head, the AD300 Pro can offer studio-level soft and even light effects. With compact and lightweight body weighing just 1.4kg, the AD300 Pro allows you to travel light. Boasting 9 power stops from 1/256-1/1 and 10 stop 10W LED Bi-Colour modelling light you are in full control.

The AD300 Pro fully supports TTL functions from the largest camera brands, as well as HSS and numerous modifiers. Working alongside the Godox S2 Round Head Bracket, the AD300 Pro becomes fully compatible with the latest Godox Modifiers.

The AD300 Pro boasts all of the unique features of The Godox Wistro AD range, whilst offering a strong power output of 300Ws and maintaining its portable compact design. Unlike the AD200 / AD200 Pro, the AD300 Pro features a built in fan, allowing you to shoot for longer.

Fully compatible with the latest Godox X-Series triggers, the AD300Pro’s built-in receiver continues the success of the user friendly X1T, X2T and XPro. Using these latest Godox X-Series of triggers, the AD300Pro allows full TTL and HSS remote power control up to 300 feet away. It can fully support Canon E-TTL, Nikon i-TTL, Sony TTL, Fuji TTL and Olympus TTL systems.

The AD300 Pro comes with an advanced lithium-ion battery that has been designed for performance, making it more reliable than ever when shooting on location. The battery is loaded into the underside of the unit to keep it super compact due to its small size, whilst still offering a recycle time of 0.01-1.5s with up to approximately 320 full power flashes.

Fully Supports TTL auto flash, Flash Exposure Compensation, First Curtain Sync, Second Curtain Sync, Manual Flash, Multi Flash etc. The AD300 Pro works with multiple camera brands and various accessories using the appropriate adapter.

    Godox AD 300 Pro

Ive been waiting for this little beauty a while now, got one from Hypop the day after its release. Great product that is so compact yet so powerful. Im using it as an additional light to my Ad600Pro's but also for inset work where travelling with a 600 is just too difficult. Love it so much after just a few weeks, I'm about to order another one. great fast delivery from Hypop as usual!

    Still waiting 😂

I was very happy dealing with Hypop but I’m still waiting for the purchase to arrive as NZ Customs haven’t released it, long story short I hope to receive it this week or at a worse case scenario the following week.

Great portable & light flash… but extra batteries!

This light is awesome to have for portable studio and on location jobs. Great for shooting in tight & small spaces, too! It’s easy to setup and store. I use the Bowens mount adapter ring which is easy to attach and take off. Don’t get the one that you have to permanently attach that just seems like a nightmare and defeats the purpose of their small size. I do hope that there will be more modifier options for the Godox mount, but for now, the Bowens attachment works.

These are great on short shoots or if you’re shooting in a darker set/location. Each one is about the size of a 70-200 lens. The price is amazing - you can easily buy multiple units for the price of 1 competitor’s unit, which is worth considering.

The pros of this light is their portability and ease. I love that you can change the color temp of the modeling light. I haven’t found an opportunity to use this for video, though I’ve seen folks write about how it can be a great video light too. I wouldn’t buy these as primary video lights as they’re strobes, but it’s always nice to have a modeling light feature if you need to shoot short video clips in tandem with your stills.

If you’re looking to have a lighter, more portable kit - I definitely suggest these. I also suggest buying extra batteries for each head you have because these lights run through their batteries very fast; especially when shooting at higher powers or in bright studios. I haven’t tried these outdoors yet, but I don’t expect them to overpower the sun on a bright, sunny day.

For my studio & on-location portrait work, I typically use these between 1/16 to full power, depending on the environment I’m in & modifier I use. I can get away with shooting between 1/8 - 1/4 but in some spaces I will need to use 1/2 or full power. I like to use these as side lights and hair lights as I don’t need as much power. I tried doing a couple days using these as key lights for corporate headshots and some portrait & beauty jobs, but I had to change the batteries a few times during those days which certainly messed with my shooting flow. If you don’t have a problem with changing the batteries throughout the day than these lights will be perfect for you!

    Top price/performance ratio

This flash made me get me a little private studio equipment. Meanwhile, it has become three pieces with a shade (Elinchrom 49" Deep Silver Umbrella incl. diffuser) and a Godox AD-S65S softbox as well as the BD-10 Barndoor Kit. Plus Avenger C-Stands (two large 2030 kits and a 2018 small one and one 1051BAC). For the quite heavy umbrella I got a Manfrotto umbrella head instead of the supplied panhead, otherwise Manfrotto E650 pins for the C-stands. The flash control via the X2T Remote is very simple, convenient and reliable. 300W of power is enough for me even during the day to overdrive the existing light. It's not quite possible with direct sunlight, but I can avoid that pretty well. In hindsight, the AD-300 would have been an even better alternative because its modeling light is brighter . Anyway, it's great for me.

    Very good flash

Highly recommended because of its very low weight and very small dimensions you get a very powerful and versatile flash. You just have to see the number of positive opinions there are about him on the net

Everything you need in a flash.

Convenient, practical, easy to use, it has everything you need in a 300W flash of course.
That it's wireless and can be managed from the shutter release button is great. And the battery power is more than enough, I almost never shoot at 1/1, so I never run out of battery.
