    I bought two of these tripods because they were the only low level light stands I could find on a quick survey of the market. I am using them for a purpose for which they were not intended - holding large studio lights for high speed photography of insect behavior in the field. This has required the addition of aluminium pipe extensions to the legs to provide stability for heavy lights on uneven ground. This has been successful so far

    This stand is small yet amazingly strong and sturdy. It comfortably holds my 19" ring light and it positions it perfectly on my desk and behind my laptop for when I'm doing live video streams and Zoom calls with clients. I can highly recommend this product.
